Nearly 32,500 people showed their support for Ceuta in Zaragoza on Wednesday, coinciding with the autonomous city’s Day. The gathering, called by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and held outside City Hall, also brought together Aragonese institutional and political representatives, who voiced their support for Ceuta’s residents amid the situation the city has faced since the mass, irregular entry of thousands of people across the border on July 30 and 31.

The Government of Aragon will join as a private prosecutor in the preliminary proceedings opened over the alleged commission of a forest fire crime in connection with the blaze that started on August 10 in Santa María de la Peña (Huesca).
