Accusations fly over Tiro de Pichón’s €12 million as PSOE threatens court action

Zaragoza’s PSOE has escalated its demands over the claim for nearly €12 million from Tiro de Pichón. Socialist spokesperson Lola Ranera and councillor Ros Cihuelo have called on Natalia Chueca’s government to act immediately and warned they will go to court unless steps are taken to recover money they say “belongs to municipal coffers”. Zaragoza City Council, meanwhile, has accused the Socialist group of “sowing confusion and twisting reality”.

Access to the Miguel Servet Hospital emergency department will recover one of its main entry and exit routes this Friday. Zaragoza City Council plans to reopen the underground passage beneath Isabel la Católica promenade this afternoon after completing the work needed to repair the fault that forced the tunnel to close. The work was carried out particularly quickly because of the strategic importance of this point for mobility around the hospital.

Aragon and Zaragoza's major airport bet: €8.8 million to expand routes

The joint commitment by the Government of Aragon and Zaragoza City Council to transform connectivity at Zaragoza Airport will involve an institutional investment of €8.79 million to promote 29 lots comprising 31 air routes. The regional government will contribute €5.86 million through the public company Promoción de Actividades Aeroportuarias (PAA), while Zaragoza City Council will provide €2.93 million through an agreement with the entity. The aim is to nearly triple the current number of routes and more than double passenger numbers.
