The Aragonese pizzeria is taking on the challenge of winning the title of Spain’s Best Pizza 2026, bringing Aragon’s name to a competition that rewards flavor, ingredient quality and creative recipes. From October 29 to November 22, Leone Pizzeria Tradizionale, at various locations including 7 Calle Antonio Candalija, will compete against establishments from across Spain to show that the region also has plenty to say in the world of pizza.
LEONE PIZZERIA TRADIZIONALE, ARAGON’S ONLY REPRESENTATIVE
Leone Pizzeria Tradizionale’s participation makes it Aragon’s representative in this edition of the championship. Its presence is an opportunity to highlight the region’s cuisine and recognize the work of professionals who prioritize quality and excellence in their creations. The pizzeria will seek to stand out among more than 100 competitors and rank among the country’s best offerings.
To achieve this, it will have to convince both customers and the food inspectors responsible for assessing the participating pizzas. These specialists will visit the establishments and analyze aspects such as the quality of the dough, the harmony of the ingredients, preparation and final flavor. This assessment, together with the public’s scores, will determine which pizzerias reach the final stage of the competition.
You can try Leone’s pizzas at 7 Calle de Antonio Candalija; 12 Plaza de San Francisco; 26 Calle María Zambrano; and Puerto Venecia shopping center.
HOW TO VOTE FOR THE ARAGONESE PIZZERIA TO MAKE IT SPAIN’S BEST
People in Aragon can also do their bit to help Leone Pizzeria Tradizionale earn national recognition. During the championship, customers can rate the participating entries through the official website, www.lamejorpizza.es. Those who try the Aragonese establishment’s pizza will therefore have the chance to score it and help it progress in the competition.
In addition, the organizers have prepared an incentive to encourage public participation. Everyone who votes and follows the championship’s official Facebook (@lamejorpizza) and Instagram (@lamejorpizza_) accounts will be entered into a draw to win an Apple Watch. The competition period will end on November 22, after which the establishments competing for the country’s best pizza title will be announced, with Leone Pizzeria Tradizionale as the only Aragonese candidate.
