The concert will be performed by the Tempo Giusto Musical Association, which has two decades of experience and will present a program featuring zarzuela choruses and romanzas. The performance will take place at the venue located at 13 Madre Rafols Street and will feature several soloists alongside the Tempo Giusto Choir.
Under the direction of Ricardo Soláns Armillas, the performers will include soprano Mariángel Vásquez, tenor Fabio Scé and baritone Emilio Segura, accompanied on piano by Javier Montañés. The program will include more than a dozen pieces, and admission will be free, although attendees will be able to make a voluntary contribution to the emergency response.
PROCEEDS WILL GO TO FAMILIES IN CHOCÓ
The funds raised will support families affected in Colombia's Chocó region, particularly low-income Afro-descendant and Indigenous communities. The organization points out that, in addition to dealing with the consequences of the earthquakes, these populations face problems linked to poverty, inequality and access to basic services.
Before the concert, the Juan Bonal Foundation will set up a small exhibition to explain the context of the emergency and the needs in the area. Sister Maritza Peralta Araya explained that the aim is for attendees to learn about the situation facing the communities and how the money raised will be used before entering the chapel.
The financial contribution will be voluntary, although the Foundation hopes that music will help mobilize the solidarity of attendees. Those unable to attend will also be able to contribute through a bank transfer or Bizum, indicating "Terremoto Colombia" as the reference and, if they want a tax-deduction certificate, also including their DNI.
ON-THE-GROUND AID WITH THE CLARETIAN MISSIONARIES
The work launched from Zaragoza is complemented on the ground by the efforts of the Claretian Missionaries, who have supported communities in the Colombian municipality of Medio Atrato for years. The Juan Bonal Foundation continues its emergency response alongside this congregation and the Sisters of Charity of Saint Anne.
Aid is being channeled through the Claretian Mission Procurator's Office to assist families that have suffered significant losses. The main needs identified include food, medicine, clothing, fuel and other basic supplies, compounded by access difficulties caused by distances and communication problems.
Through this concert, the organizing entities hope to involve Zaragoza society in the solidarity response and raise awareness of the situation facing communities in Chocó. The initiative also seeks to maintain support beyond the immediate emergency response and strengthen aid for affected families.
