Specifically, the closures are scheduled for October 26 and 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Outside these periods, pedestrian traffic is expected to resume, provided that safety conditions have been verified. The Local Police will coordinate the operation, including signage at the entrances on both sides of the river and information about the restrictions.
ZARAGOZA BRIDGE PLAN
During these two days, technicians will conduct non-destructive tests using the vibrating-wire method, a technique that measures the tension of the stay cables without damaging the structure. LRA Infrastructures Consulting will be responsible for carrying out the tests, whose results will be used to draft the final project to upgrade the footbridge as part of Zaragoza's Bridge Plan.
This municipal program also includes work on four other infrastructures: the Stone Bridge, the Iron Bridge, the pedestrian footbridge over the mouth of the Huerva River at the Ebro, and the Cogullada road bridge over the railway tracks. The plan includes specialized inspections to determine the necessary repairs and draft intervention projects, which will include proposals to improve functional and ornamental lighting and increase the energy efficiency of these crossings.
