Homemade migas and lasagna: Natalia Chueca's shopping trip at a Zaragoza neighborhood butcher shop

Who has never left a store with the day's meal practically sorted thanks to a good recommendation? That is exactly what happened to Zaragoza Mayor Natalia Chueca during a visit to Hermanos Martínez butcher shop in the La Jota neighborhood. The mayor stopped by the establishment to present Volveremos' new campaign, which will begin next Wednesday, October 28, but the visit ended with a stop at the prepared-food counter and a very specific purchase.

After taking advice from one of the butchers, Chueca chose two containers of homemade migas and a lasagna made in-house. With that combination, she had already sorted out lunch and celebrated with a spontaneous comment, laughing: "Now I have lunch sorted for today." The anecdote added an everyday touch to a visit that, beyond the institutional announcements, ended like so many neighborhood shopping trips: listening to a recommendation and deciding what to take home.

A SHOPPING TRIP AT LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT IS OFTEN PART OF HER ROUTINE

Chueca herself acknowledged that she often takes advantage of these kinds of visits to do some shopping. When she visits businesses or markets in the Aragonese capital for reasons related to her work as mayor, she also finds an opportunity to take something home to eat. On this occasion, that habit resulted in migas and lasagna.

Hermanos Martínez butcher shop has an establishment in La Jota, although it is also present in other Zaragoza neighborhoods, such as Las Fuentes and the Paseo Teruel area, among other locations.
