Grocery shopping, updating your wardrobe or buying household products could cost less from Wednesday, October 28. Zaragoza's new Volveremos campaign launches with €2.76 million to provide 20% cashback on purchases made on Wednesdays and Fridays at participating shops. The Zaragoza City Council is contributing €1.981 million, while the Government of Aragon is providing the remaining €779,000.

The system is straightforward: for every €100 spent, users can generate €20 in credit to use later at participating shops. This is not an immediate discount on the price, but an amount that accumulates in the virtual wallet of the Volveremos app and helps users save on future purchases. The initiative aims to ease families' everyday expenses while encouraging Zaragoza residents to shop at businesses in their own neighborhoods.

Zaragoza Mayor Natalia Chueca presented the year's latest campaign at Hermanos Martínez butcher's shop in La Jota, where she encouraged residents to make use of the new funds for purchases over the coming months. The program has already generated more than €39.2 million in sales during 2026, with 395,512 transactions and 77,455 users. In total, more than 2,117 shops recorded at least one sale linked to Volveremos over the course of the year.

MORE THAN €2.2 MILLION REMAINS TO BE SPENT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

In addition to the new funds, users still have more than €2.2 million accumulated in their virtual wallets, which they must spend before December 31. This balance can be used on any day of the week at participating shops, making November purchases and Christmas preparations an opportunity to use the accumulated money before the end of the year.

Volveremos has also run specific campaigns in recent months. The back-to-school initiative generated €19.37 million in sales and attracted more than 66,500 families. Meanwhile, the special furniture program reached €860,327 in sales, while the campaign for shops affected by roadworks in Zaragoza generated €128,000 across 19 businesses.
