In El Picarral, the City Council will build three petanque courts on a plot located on Camino de Juslibol, in response to a request from local residents submitted through the El Rabal District Council. The works, awarded to the company AVIR for €42,229, will have a maximum completion period of six weeks. The site, close to the Picarral senior center and several care homes, is intended to particularly promote active aging and personal autonomy.

NEW FEATURES

The project will not be limited to preparing the playing surfaces. It will also include a wall with metal fencing, a drinking fountain, seven benches made from recycled material and the planting of seven trees, as well as a drip irrigation system. This will give the new space rest and shaded areas to make it easier for residents to use.

Meanwhile, Delicias Park will unveil a completely renovated sports court, with an investment of €59,525.51 and a completion period of between two and three months. The work will transform the existing sports area, whose pavement is significantly worn, into two independent facilities: one for futsal and another for basketball. The works, awarded to Sport Ocio Plus SL, include new line markings, high-resistance sports flooring, and vandal-resistant enclosures and equipment.
