Unizar Opens 89 Internal Positions Across Its Three Campuses: Who Can Apply and How

Unizar is preparing one of its largest internal staff movements in recent months, with 89 positions distributed across Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. The three calls, published this Friday, October 23, in the Official Gazette of Aragon (BOA), cover faculties, schools, administrative services and IT departments at the University of Zaragoza.

Most of the positions included in the calls are 86 basic administrative posts distributed among numerous centers and services of the institution. They are joined by two Service Coordinator positions in Zaragoza and one Campus Coordinator position in Huesca, bringing the total number of positions included in the published procedures to 89.

The figure may particularly attract the attention of those seeking job opportunities at Unizar, although there is a fundamental distinction: these are not open competitive examinations or an employment pool open to new applicants. They are transfer competitions aimed at career civil servants assigned to the University of Zaragoza who meet the requirements for each position.

ZARAGOZA CONCENTRATES MOST OF THE POSITIONS

Zaragoza accounts for 77 of the 89 positions included in the three calls. Of these, 75 are basic administrative positions and the other two are Service Coordinator posts in the IT and Communications Service. The Aragonese capital therefore brings together most of the staff movements announced by Unizar.

The Zaragoza positions are distributed among numerous centers, including the faculties of Law, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Philosophy and Arts, Economics and Business, and Health Sciences. There are also positions at the Rectorate, Universa, the Confucius Institute, the Publications Service and various academic, economic and research departments.

In addition to the administrative positions, there are two Service Coordinator posts, identified by numbers 26038 and 26042. Both belong to the User Support Area of the IT and Communications Service, are classified at level 22 and are intended for civil servants belonging to certain IT scales in groups B and C1.

HUESCA ADDS 11 POSITIONS, WHILE TERUEL HAS ONE

Huesca has 11 positions in the calls published this Friday. Ten are basic administrative posts distributed among the Higher Polytechnic School and the faculties of Human and Education Sciences, Health and Sports Sciences, and Business and Public Management, all linked to the Huesca campus.

The eleventh position in Huesca is that of Campus Coordinator, part of the IT and Communications Services within the campus's Administrative and Services Unit. It is a level 24 position open to civil servants belonging to the Intermediate IT Technicians scale, group A2, or equivalent.

In Teruel, the call includes a single basic administrative position assigned to the campus's Administrative and Services Unit. It is a level 16 position belonging to groups C1/C2 and forms part of the general transfer competition covering Unizar's 86 administrative positions.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THESE UNIZAR POSITIONS

To participate in the competition for the 86 basic positions, applicants must be career civil servants assigned to the University of Zaragoza and belong to the Administrative scale, subgroup C1, or the Auxiliary scale, subgroup C2, or equivalent scales. In addition, each applicant must meet the specific requirements established for the position being sought.

The rules also generally establish that two years must have elapsed since the applicant took up their last permanent position. Exceptions apply in certain cases involving removal, dismissal or the abolition of positions. Applicants must continue to meet the required conditions throughout the process, as of the date on which the application period ends.

The IT positions have specific requirements. In Zaragoza, applicants may belong to the Higher Vocational Training Technician in IT scale, group B, or the IT Specialist Technician scale, C1. For the Huesca position, applicants must belong to the Intermediate IT Technicians scale, group A2, or an equivalent scale.

HOW TO APPLY AND WHAT IS THE DEADLINE

Applications must be submitted through the procedure enabled by the University of Zaragoza on Solicit@. Applicants may identify themselves using an electronic certificate, the Cl@ve system or the University's own coordinated identification system, using their NIP and corresponding administrative password.

The application period will be 15 working days, starting the day after the calls are published in the BOA. Applicants must indicate the position or positions they wish to apply for, listed in order of preference, as well as whether they wish to participate in the initial competition phase, the subsequent vacancies phase or both.

Positions will be awarded based on the score obtained under the assessment criteria established by the University of Zaragoza. This will be followed by a subsequent vacancies phase, in which both positions left unfilled initially and those that become vacant as a result of the staff movements generated by this competition may be offered.
