Attending this event is a way to support the shelter and help the animals that need it most. Throughout the morning, it will host various activities for adults and children, as well as welcoming other shelters that will travel to Utebo.
WORKSHOPS TAKING PLACE IN THE MORNING
The shelter's volunteers have prepared three workshops to enjoy throughout the morning. The first will begin at 10:00 a.m. and allow attendees to make a clay imprint of their dog's paw. At 11:00 a.m., it will be time to get creative with a workshop for painting fabric bags (tote bags). Finally, at 12:00 p.m., participants will be able to design their own shrink-plastic key rings.
To put the finishing touch on the event, the shelter will organize a pet contest with five different categories, open to all dogs attending the event.
TWO CHALLENGING CASES IN LESS THAN A WEEK
The shelter has taken in two challenging cases in less than a week. One is Atlas, a dog who had to undergo surgery on both front legs after suffering fractures in each of them. The second is Fénix, a greyhound who was found after being run over, malnourished and with a broken leg.
By holding this event, Sonrisa Animal Utebo aims to raise funds to cover part of the veterinary costs of both operations, whose combined cost exceeds 4,000 euros.
