With this addition, more than 122,000 users with health cards assigned to the Barbastro Health Sector will be able to manage their appointments more quickly and easily from their mobile phones. The app allows them to confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments via WhatsApp, with the aim of improving schedule management and reducing no-shows.
The rollout of TuCitaSalud in the sector marks further progress in modernizing healthcare services and improving public access to primary care, giving patients greater autonomy in managing appointments and helping optimize the use of available resources.
Previous experience at the Monzón Urbano Health Center, where the tool was initially launched in August, has produced positive results in recovering and reallocating available appointments. The app has helped recover appointments that became available after cancellations or schedule changes, allowing other users to book them and improving the use of healthcare capacity.
TuCitaSalud helps reduce waiting times and improves accessibility by showing real-time availability among different healthcare professionals and schedules.
The extension to the Barbastro Health Sector is part of the progressive rollout of this digital tool across the autonomous community, which will gradually reach the entire region with the aim of offering the public more accessible and efficient channels. Since TuCitaSalud was launched in primary care a month ago in Monzón Urbano and during the first days of its rollout across the Barbastro Health Sector, 6,329 reminders have been sent and 218 appointments have been recovered.
