Zaragoza Charity Market: Dates, Opening Hours and Where to Donate Toys Until November 15

The event will take place at the Salvador Allende Civic Center, at 8 Florentino Ballesteros Street, and will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors will find toys, games, books, electronics, accessories and gift items donated by local residents and sold at heavily discounted prices.

WHERE TO DONATE TOYS AND GIFTS IN ZARAGOZA

Before the market, Fundación Más Vida will keep its donation drive open until November 15. Items in good condition can be delivered to the Salvador Allende, Miralbueno, Río Ebro, Almozara and La Jota civic centers. Camping de Zaragoza will also collect products between November 11 and 15.

The Montessori, Liceo Europa and La Salle Montemolín schools have also joined the initiative, with the latter participating through its parents’ association. The organization presents the market as a sustainable way to get a head start on Christmas shopping, giving a second life to items that can still be used by other people.

All the money raised will go to the project Fundación Más Vida is developing together with ADAF in Los Guarícanos, Dominican Republic. There, they work to prevent domestic violence through talks, self-esteem workshops and support for families provided through local educational and healthcare centers.

A PROJECT THAT WILL BENEFIT 995 PEOPLE

The project is expected to reach 995 people, 58% of whom are women and 30% children. “Every toy someone donates and every purchase made at the market is transformed into safer homes,” explains Teresa Abadía Escario, coordinator of Fundación Más Vida.

Abadía also encourages Zaragoza residents to visit the market’s new venue: “This year we are opening our doors at the former Matadero, and we want everyone in Zaragoza to come and see it.” Purchases must be paid for in cash, and the market will remain open for five days, from November 18 to 22.
