Highs of up to 27 degrees and September-like heat: how long will Aragón's "veroño" last?

Although October ends in just four days, the weather does not reflect it. The so-called "veroño" will continue for several more days across the peninsula and Aragón, with maximum temperatures above normal for this time of year and more typical of late September, according to Aemet. The ranking published by Spain's State Meteorological Agency confirms this.
Highs of up to 27 degrees and September-like heat: how long will Aragón's "veroño" last?

This Monday, highs of 27.6 degrees were recorded in La Almunia de Doña Godina, 27 in Quinto, 26.4 in Leciñena, and 26.3 in Daroca and Alhama de Aragón. These highs contrasted with the lows recorded in parts of Teruel province, where temperatures ranged between 2 and 4 degrees.

Highs that are unusually warm for this time of year will therefore remain the norm at least until the end of the week. Teruel will reach highs of 25 degrees today, Zaragoza 24, and Huesca 23. Lows will be similarly low in the Teruel capital, at 6 degrees, while they will rise to 11 in Zaragoza and Huesca.

On Wednesday, highs will range between 20 and 23 degrees in the three Aragonese capitals, while lows will range from 6 to 13 degrees. Conditions will remain stable at least until the weekend, and temperatures are expected to fall below 20 degrees in Huesca and Teruel during the first week of November, while remaining at that level in Zaragoza.
