Cold Weather Is Set to Return: Temperatures Will Plummet in Aragon on This Day

The Indian summer bringing September-like temperatures to Aragon instead of late-October conditions now has an expiration date. After several days with highs still hovering around or above 20 degrees, the biggest change will arrive next Tuesday, November 3, when temperatures will fall across all three Aragonese provincial capitals.
Cold Weather Is Set to Return: Temperatures Will Plummet in Aragon on This Day

According to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Zaragoza will go from a high of 20 degrees on Monday to just 16 on Tuesday, while the low will also fall from 8 to 6 degrees. The drop will be even more noticeable compared with the 23 degrees forecast for this Wednesday and Thursday.

HIGHS OF 14 DEGREES IN HUESCA

In Huesca, the trend will be similar. The provincial capital will record a high of 21 degrees this Wednesday and will still remain around 18 for much of the weekend. Temperatures will fall to 17 degrees on Monday, but on Tuesday the high will reach just 14 degrees and the low will drop to 5.

This represents a seven-degree drop in maximum temperatures compared with this Wednesday and confirms the end of the unusually mild conditions that have affected Aragon during the final days of October.

TERUEL WILL APPROACH FREEZING

The cold will be felt particularly strongly in Teruel. There, highs will still remain at 22 degrees this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, before falling to 19 over the weekend and on Monday. On Tuesday, however, the forecast high will be 15 degrees and the low will fall to just 1 degree.

In addition, Aemet forecasts a 25% chance of precipitation in Teruel that day, with the snow level at around 1,800 meters, although this is still a forecast several days in advance and may change.

Thus, the start of November will finally bring conditions that are much more typical of the season. After days in which Aragon has recorded highs close to 27 degrees and temperatures clearly above normal, Tuesday will mark the most noticeable change, with highs of between 14 and 16 degrees in the three provincial capitals and lows that could approach freezing in Teruel.
