Aragon joins three days of mourning for tragic rail accident in Toledo
Aragon is joining the three days of mourning declared by the Spanish government following the collision between two trains in Urda, Toledo, which has claimed the lives of at least 68 people. As a result, official flags on the exteriors of public buildings will fly at half-mast, while indoor flags will bear a mourning ribbon on the finial of the flagpole.

This was announced by Aragon President Jorge Azcón in an official statement conveying the regional government’s “solidarity and sympathy.” He also expressed “his condolences, support, affection and respect for all the families who have suffered the irreparable loss of their loved ones.”
Azcón also wished the injured a speedy recovery and expressed his condolences to the people from Castile-La Mancha who live in Aragon. It should be recalled that the regional government has canceled its entire schedule of events, including the presentation of the budget.
