After several warnings, Raúl García opened the scoring in the 12th minute and made the Aragonese side's dream even more difficult so early on. From then on, the Rojillos imposed their rhythm and continued to extend their lead against an Atlético Calatayud side that tried to withstand the visitors' attacks and find a chance to threaten and score a goal that would have been historic. Even so, two more goals from Raúl García, along with strikes by Kike Barja, Dubasin and Aimar Bonel, completed the scoreline in a game that, despite the result, is already part of the history of Aragonese football.
THE MATCH
On the pitch, following a heartfelt minute's silence for the victims of the Toledo railway tragedy, logic and common sense prevailed far too quickly at a San Íñigo stadium that, although not completely full, wanted to push on its humble Regional Preferente team. After Osambela had a goal ruled out for offside in the opening stages, Osasuna, which had been besieging the Calatayud side from the start as the hosts did all they could to keep out the Rojillos' attacks, landed the first blow in the 12th minute.
An incisive Raúl Moro received the ball on the left flank of the Navarrese attack and delivered a precise cross to the far post, where Raúl García headed home the opening goal. It was an early cold shower for Calatayud, which was struggling to shake off its nerves and combine effectively in search of Sergio Herrera's goal. In fact, a free kick from Panocha on the flank that drifted across the Rojillos' area was the Aragonese side's first approach almost midway through the first half.
Even so, Osasuna continued to control the match and kept creating chances in front of the Calatayud goal. After two more warnings from Raúl García and Dubasin, Kike Barja doubled the advantage with a superb goal in the 28th minute. The Rojillos winger, after a dazzling run full of skill and dribbling, beat his marker before firing past Ernesto to make Luis Leal's side's task even more difficult.

Despite their advantage, Osasuna did not ease off and Raúl García found the net again. The striker, once more with a header, subtly redirected a cross from Kike Barja to score his second of the game and the Rojillos' third. Only Ernesto, with two fine saves from Arguibide and Raúl García, prevented the lead from becoming even greater for a Calatayud side that, before halftime, created its second and most dangerous chance when, after a good move down the right, Panocha was unable to connect effectively with a shot from the edge of the area.
RED STORM
After halftime, aware of the unique opportunity to play against a top-flight team, Luis Leal made as many as three substitutions to allow three new members of the Aragonese squad to take part in a day they would never forget. Even so, the script did not change and Osasuna, which continued to press the accelerator, kept asserting its superiority.
Precisely 15 minutes into the second half, Dubasin, who had been threatening to score throughout the match, converted a penalty that he himself had won. Then, on the hour mark, Raúl García completed his hat-trick by turning in a low cross from the left flank of the Navarrese side to make it 0-5.
In this way, and although Osasuna slightly reduced the intensity of its play, the young Asier Bonel scored a high-quality goal on his debut, beating Ernesto with a fine lob. All of this came as Calatayud searched for the possibility of celebrating a goal in the cup competition. Even so, the match ended without further changes to the scoreline in a game that, despite the result, will go down in the history of the town of Calatayud.
