This Sunday, the four museums will open their doors free of charge, giving visitors the chance to travel nearly 2,000 years back in time and learn about Zaragoza’s role as one of Hispania’s most prominent cities during the Roman era. The visit will include the Museum of the Forum, the River Port Museum, the Museum of the Public Baths and the Theatre Museum.
The Fire Museum and the Origami Museum, considered one of the most unique in Europe, are also joining the initiative and can be visited free of charge this Sunday. It is the perfect opportunity to explore the fascinating world of firefighters and discover the art of creating figures by folding paper.
THE ALJAFERÍA PALACE
As on the first day of every month, the Aljafería will also open its doors free of charge, adding to Zaragoza’s broad cultural offering. It is one of the city’s most representative architectural and heritage gems. In addition to being the seat of the Cortes of Aragon, the Aljafería Palace showcases the Mudejar style in all its splendor.
It is a must-see for anyone arriving in the capital of the Ebro ready to explore, as well as for Aragonese residents who cannot resist visiting it again and again. The Aljafería will be open this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors must book their tickets in advance through the official platform because capacity is limited.
