The festival invites audiences to enjoy short, accessible and direct performances in which body movement, humor and poetry take center stage. With each ticket, audiences receive a tapa with their drink, an invitation to stay, chat, meet the artist if they wish and connect with other people who share their interests.
THE SHOWS
The festival opens on November 8 with "Fleurir les abîmes", by Claire Ducreux, a stage poem combining dance and visual theatre in which a woman encounters a 6.50-meter metal tree that rises as a refuge and a gesture of peaceful resistance. The performance proposes planting a tree of tenderness in the heart of the world. It is Claire Ducreux's final performance as an artist, following a tour of Europe and Spain over the past two years.
The Rauxa company will present "La crisis de la imaginación" on November 29, a circus, dance and puppetry piece that asks what would happen if imagination disappeared. Two characters build a dreamlike and tragicomic universe through acrobatics, movement and object manipulation. It is a poetic and absurd adventure that invites audiences to recover the exploratory spirit of childhood.
Christmas will arrive at the festival with "Cuento de Navidad" (encapsulating Dickens), by Société de la Mouffette / COMA14. From a workshop table, the company recreates the story of Mr. Scrooge using models, objects, audiovisual elements and music in an intimate experience that invites audiences to discover how a story can change the way we see the world. After the performance, there will be a participatory workshop on model-making and creative writing.
On December 13, it will be the turn of "Olvido Flores", by Estefanía de Paz Asín. Inspired by the story of Circo Anastasini, a troupe of more than 50 artists whose tour of northern Spain was interrupted in Lodosa in July 1936, the performance combines theatre, clowning, cabaret, circus and object language to create a poetic and visual piece that recovers testimonies and experiences shaped by those events.
On December 20, the D'Click company will present "Frágiles", a raw, undisciplined and human circus performance in which three acrobats and object manipulators create a universe of useless yet precise gestures. The performance will be an Aragon premiere.
Clown Leandre will star in "Fly me to the Moon", a bicycle journey to the moon that combines wordless humor, tenderness and visual poetry. Two clowns, tightrope walkers of disaster and poetry, invite audiences to slow the world's accelerated pace and recover their innocence through a flying bicycle and an imaginary journey.
The program will close on January 3 with "Parpadeo, de Parpadeo(s)" / Traza Espacio Creativo, a production by Zaragoza-based creator Laura Tajada together with Ana Rosa Sánchez. Designed for the youngest audiences, the performance proposes a poetic journey in which time expands and contracts to the rhythm of babies. Live music, textures, paper, colors and movement create a sensitive, wordless dialogue.
