Uruguay's Robe tribute act sells out its Spanish debut in Zaragoza and moves to a larger venue

The songs of Robe Iniesta and Extremoduro brought to Río de la Plata milonga, Uruguayan folk and candombe. This is the unique formula of Milongas Extremas, a band with 18 years of experience that has turned the blend of transgressive rock and Río de la Plata rhythms into a phenomenon capable of selling out shows in Uruguay, Argentina and Spain.

That success has also reached Zaragoza. The group was scheduled to perform on October 30 at Sala ROZE, but it has sold out all available tickets and the concert will ultimately move to La Casa del Loco, a larger venue that will allow new tickets to go on sale.

The event will also launch the Spanish tour “Siempre, Siempre, Siempre”, with which Milongas Extremas returns to the country after eight years. The show is conceived as a tribute to the life and work of Robe Iniesta and Extremoduro, combining their songs with original material by the band.

ROBE INIESTA TO THE RHYTHM OF MILONGA AND CANDOMBE

For nearly two decades, Milongas Extremas has built an identity based on blending Uruguayan folk music and Río de la Plata milonga with the energy of transgressive rock. That combination is also the foundation of a live show that reinterprets Robe's musical universe from a completely different perspective.

The project has found an audience on both sides of the Atlantic. The show arrives in Spain after selling out in Montevideo and Buenos Aires, and it is maintaining the same trend on its tour of the country.

A TOUR THAT IS ALMOST SOLD OUT BEFORE IT BEGINS

After the Zaragoza concert, Milongas Extremas will continue on November 3 and 4 in Alicante; on the 5th in Murcia; on the 8th in Valencia; on the 9th in Barcelona; on the 11th in Málaga; on the 12th in Seville; on the 13th in Madrid; and will conclude on November 14 and 15 in Plasencia, Robe Iniesta's hometown.

According to the organizers, virtually all the Spanish dates have already sold out. At this point, tickets are available only for Zaragoza and the second date in Plasencia.

MORE TICKETS AFTER THE VENUE CHANGE

In Zaragoza, high demand has forced an expansion of the venue capacity. After all tickets for Sala ROZE were sold, the October 30 concert is moving to La Casa del Loco, where tickets can still be purchased.

The last tickets are available from 12 euros plus booking fees through MovingTickets. The Aragonese capital will thus be the starting point for a tour marked by Milongas Extremas' return to Spain and by a repertoire that transforms songs by Robe and Extremoduro with Río de la Plata rhythms.
