José Mota's Visit to Palafox Cinemas Canceled After Rail Accident

The discussion José Mota was due to hold this Wednesday in Zaragoza to present "Arriba tutto", his first film as director, is uncertain after the serious rail accident reported this morning on the Madrid-Andalusia high-speed line. The actor and filmmaker's press team has confirmed that he will not attend the cinema. Palafox Cinemas said it is considering "different options" and that the discussion may perhaps be held by video call.

The event was scheduled for this Wednesday, October 28, at 5:30 p.m. in Screen 4 at Palafox Cinemas, where the comedian and filmmaker was due to take part in a special screening to present the film and subsequently meet with the audience.

The cancellation follows the accident that occurred early this Wednesday in the province of Toledo, between Los Yébenes and Urda, where two high-speed trains, one operated by Renfe and the other by Iryo, were involved in a rear-end collision. The crash forced rail traffic between Madrid and Andalusia to be suspended.

JOSÉ MOTA WAS SET TO PRESENT HIS DIRECTORIAL DEBUT

The visit to Zaragoza was part of the promotion for "Arriba tutto," the film with which José Mota makes his directorial debut and which is already enjoying major success in theaters. The story begins in 1905 and follows Michi, a seven-year-old boy who loses his father violently. His father was a traveling performer who had taught him to find humor and magic in everyday life. As time passes, Michi becomes an adult shaped by resentment, until his reunion with Conchita, his childhood sweetheart, allows him to recover part of the outlook he had lost.

The film combines comedy and drama and explores issues such as second chances, love, harmony and the ability of humor to confront adverse circumstances.
