This nomination marks Kase.O's second Latin Grammy nomination, following the one he received in 2017 for his successful studio album "El Círculo," which earned him a nomination in the Best Urban Music Album category. Nearly a decade later, the Aragonese artist is once again on the Latin Recording Academy's list of nominees.
AN INFLUENTIAL RAP FIGURE
Kase.O is one of the leading figures in Spanish-language rap and one of the most influential artists to emerge from Spain's hip-hop scene. Born in Zaragoza, he began his career in the early 1990s and rose to prominence as a member of Violadores del Verso. After the group's run, he launched a solo career and released "El Círculo" in 2016. Over more than three decades in the industry, Kase.O has stood out for his lyrical style, his ability to blend classic rap with contemporary sounds and his influence on several generations of artists.
After years of pleas from his fans and cryptic, indecipherable messages, Kase.O released his new album on June 19. The 16 songs on "Camisa de fuerza" finally saw the light of day, with a strong focus on Aragón and Zaragoza, as well as the historic return of Violadores del Verso.
In addition, the Zaragoza-born MC will hit the road to present the album. Kase.O's fans in Zaragoza already have February 20, 2027, marked in red on their calendars, the date when the Aragonese rapper will perform at the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe in his hometown as part of the "Camisa de fuerza" tour.
