The event will take place at the former factory at 59 San Pablo and will once again turn this industrial space into a showcase for emerging creators. In addition to the 23 artists competing, the two winners from last year's edition will attend as guests: botanical illustrator María Pinta, chosen by the public, and photographer Jorge Aliaga, winner of the jury prize.
23 ARTISTS AND A WIDE RANGE OF DISCIPLINES
One of the fair's defining features is precisely its mix of artistic languages and disciplines. All the participants are connected to Aragon and will present work ranging from painting and sculpture to photography, design, jewelry and collage. The aim is to offer a broad overview of emerging artistic creation in the region.
Several parallel activities will also take place throughout the weekend. On Saturday at 5:00 p.m., there will be a children's art and face-painting session, while on Sunday there will be an experimental collage workshop at 11:30 a.m. and an embroidered Polaroid workshop at 5:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place that same Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
THE PUBLIC ALSO HAS A SAY
Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite artist and thereby choose one of the fair's two prizes. The other will be awarded by a jury. Participants will also have the opportunity to sell their work, receive commissions and explain their creative process directly to the public during the two-day event.
The jury's winner will later be able to exhibit for one month at the Espacio Recoveco of San Jorge University, while the public's choice will display one of their works at the IAACC Pablo Serrano. Both will also receive a statuette made using 3D printing.
The Saraqusta Art Fair will open on Saturday, November 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, November 8, it can be visited from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until approximately 8:00 or 8:30 p.m., once the awards ceremony has ended.
