These first conversations through the end of the year will feature Clara Sánchez, Boticaria García and Javier Butragueño, José Ángel González Sainz and Javier García Campayo, César Bona, Rodrigo Cortés, Dolores Redondo, Alejandro Palomas, Lorenzo Silva, César Pérez Gellida and philosopher José Antonio Marina.
THE PROGRAM BEGINS THIS TUESDAY
The first 'Book Tuesdays' event of the season will take place next Tuesday, September 8, at 7 p.m., featuring Clara Sánchez, a member of the RAE and one of the few writers whose career includes the Alfaguara, Nadal and Planeta prizes. She will present her novel 'Lo inexplicable' in conversation with fellow writer and literary critic Ricardo Lladosa.
The following Tuesday, September 15, science communicator Boticaria García and doctor Javier Butragueño will present their proposal 'Mujeres de hierro,' offering rigorous and practical answers to many of the questions surrounding perimenopause and menopause.
That same week, on September 17, there will be a special event focused on mental health and its relationship with literature. José Ángel González Sainz will discuss his work 'La vida pequeña' with professor and psychiatrist Javier García Campayo and Dr. Ana López Trenco, manager of ASAPME, in a dialogue inviting reflection on one of the great challenges of our time.
The following day, Friday 18, it will be the turn of psychologist and psychotherapist Marta Martínez Novoa, who will present 'Familias que duelen (sin querer). Cómo dejar de repetir patrones y construir el refugio que mereces.' Through this proposal, she explains the influence of our family history on the way we relate to others and to ourselves.
October will begin with César Bona, a leading Aragonese figure in education and outreach, who will present his latest book at the Patio on the 2nd: 'El reto de ser humanos.' In it, he reflects on the changes brought about by the technological revolution and the rise of AI through eight essential skills for developing personal autonomy, strengthening relationships with others and building a meaningful life.
To close the month, on the 30th, director, writer and screenwriter Rodrigo Cortés will return to the Patio de la Infanta to present his work 'Hija del cielo.' It tells the story of a place, a girl and a love, but above all, the story of two voices: that of the narrator, precise and finely carved, and that of the girl herself, with a disjointed, wild and tumultuous language, capable of recounting horror with an almost comic naturalness.
On November 3, just a few weeks after its publication, acclaimed writer Dolores Redondo will once again present her new novel at the Patio de la Infanta. Titled 'Todas las noches, todas las ciudades,' it explores the moment when a writer can no longer distinguish his own voice from that of the characters he has created, when the protagonist of his novel—the most celebrated author of his generation—becomes the prime suspect in a series of murders that reproduce, with unsettling accuracy, the crimes described in his latest novel.
The final events of the year will bring together Alejandro Palomas, with his novel 'Casa,' on November 24; Lorenzo Silva, who will present 'Con nadie' on December 1; César Pérez Gellida and his work 'La piel de una gota' on the 10th; and, finally, philosopher José Antonio Marina, with 'La vacuna contra las adicciones,' on December 15.
