The event will begin on Friday, September 11, at 6:00 p.m. with "The Greatest Treasure in the World" by Kunu’u Títeres. The play tells the story of a writer trying to create a princess tale while the puppets themselves demand a voice in the story. Dragons, pirates, swordsmen and Princess Lila will appear before discovering what this particular treasure is. It is recommended for children aged 3 and over and lasts approximately 35 minutes.
PUPPETS AND MUSIC
Saturday, September 12, will feature "The Painters," with two performances at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The production combines music, dance and puppets to tell the story of three young birds that have not yet grown their adult feathers but dream of setting out to see the world, inspired by the adventures of an artistic pelican.
The one-hour show, also recommended for children aged 3 and over, uses easels, brushes, palettes and other typical painters’ tools to build a story in which the element of surprise plays a leading role.
A CAT AND TWO MICE TO CLOSE THE FESTIVAL
The program will conclude on Sunday, September 13, with Mishi Mushi and the Mice, which will have performances at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Trufaldina, a fishmonger who is also a puppeteer, will present a story starring a grumpy cat with long whiskers and two mischievous little mice, Ric Ric and Ric Rac, determined to make his life difficult.
All three productions will be staged outdoors, next to the entrance of Teatro Arbolé in Parque del Agua, and admission will be free until capacity is reached. The festival once again brings puppet theater closer to young children with three consecutive days in which the stories will leave the theater to take over the street as well
