On September 4, officers from the Belver de Cinca Civil Guard were conducting a public safety check in Albalate de Cinca when they stopped a vehicle. The officers identified the driver and passengers and proceeded to search the inside of the car.
COCAINE, CASH AND WEAPONS
During the vehicle search, officers found two knives and a telescopic baton, as well as a plastic bag containing 20.6 grams of a white powdery substance, apparently cocaine. The driver acknowledged that it belonged to him. A total of 825 euros in cash was also seized.
As a result, officers arrested the driver as the suspected perpetrator of an offense against public health involving drug trafficking, as well as an offense involving possession of a prohibited weapon. He is a 30-year-old man from the Cinca Medio area.
The competent administrative authority was also informed that the detainee was carrying two bladed weapons in a public place, potentially constituting a serious violation of Organic Law 4/2015 on the Protection of Public Safety.
RELEASED ON BAIL
The seized substance, allegedly cocaine, was sent for analysis to the Health Department of the Government Delegation in Zaragoza.
The Belver de Cinca Civil Guard prepared the relevant proceedings and brought the detainee before Fraga Court of Instance and Investigation No. 2. After appearing before the judge, he was released on bail.
