The officers filed the corresponding reports over conduct that, as the police force itself has warned, poses a serious risk both to those taking part and to other road users. Following the intervention, Local Police reiterated that a public road “is not a racetrack” and reminded drivers of the dangers of reckless or competitive driving.
Ronda de la Industria runs through the area around the Monzú industrial estate on the outskirts of Huesca and has two lanes in each direction along part of its route. Its characteristics have previously led Local Police to intervene over similar behavior.
In fact, in June 2024 officers already stopped another illegal race on this same stretch of Ronda de la Industria after video surveillance cameras detected two vehicles prepared to compete. That intervention ended with two drivers reported for reckless driving.
