The accident occurred at around 9:50 p.m. at kilometer point 551.800, when the articulated vehicle was traveling in the increasing-kilometer direction and left the road on the left side before overturning onto its side.
Spain's Directorate-General for Traffic has reported the closure of all lanes on the N-330 between kilometers 551.8 and 552 in the increasing direction while the necessary work is carried out in the area. The incident has also led to diversions and alternative routes via the A-23.
DIESEL SPILL AND TRAPPED DRIVER
Firefighters' intervention was complicated by a diesel spill from the truck's tanks, requiring the fuel to be controlled and preventive measures to be taken due to the risk of fire. At the same time, crews created access to the cab to free the driver.
The injured driver was treated and stabilized by medical services before being taken to a 061 ambulance. Firefighters highlighted the complexity of the operation because of both the presence of fuel and the cargo being transported by the vehicle.
The operation also involved the Huesca Traffic Subsector Civil Guard's Road Accident Investigation Team and road maintenance personnel. Work continues, subject to the removal of the truck and the restoration of normal traffic on the N-330.
