The incident forced traffic to be halted in both lanes of the A-23 between kilometer markers 347 and 350. Traffic, particularly heavy as it was Sunday and a holiday weekend return period due to the start of the school year, was diverted onto the N-330, which runs parallel to the motorway.
The Guardia Civil and emergency services remain at the scene while rescue operations are carried out and traffic is restored.
