The factory is located in the Los Llanos industrial park in the capital of the Cuencas Mineras district, which is already home to the Draxton automotive parts foundry, fertilizer company Fertinagro and Prefabricados Hernández.

This becomes Hormipresa’s fourth plant in Spain. The facilities occupy a 35,000-square-meter plot, 10,000 square meters of which are production space, and include 350 meters of molds for reinforced and prestressed structures, as well as another 190 meters of concreting tables for facades and enclosures.

A PLANT FOR LARGE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

From Utrillas, the company says it will be able to take on major public housing projects, as well as residential, logistics, industrial and public works projects, and data centers, among other sectors.

Hormipresa CEO José María Ruiz Fargas highlighted the importance of the addition for the company’s growth. "This new plant strengthens our industrial capacity in Spain, expands our production footprint and brings us closer to strategic projects in housing, industry, logistics, data centers and construction innovation," he said.

MORE THAN 400,000 SQUARE METERS OF FACILITIES

With the acquisition of the Teruel plant, Hormipresa will exceed 400,000 square meters of facilities and achieve annual production of more than 300,000 cubic meters of precast concrete. Its workforce will also exceed 550 professionals, including specialists in engineering, manufacturing and on-site assembly.

The operation is part of the company’s commitment to research, development and innovation (R&D), sustainability and continuous improvement. According to the company, these areas of work help advance more efficient processes, optimize resources, reduce waste and develop new solutions for industrialized construction.
