The celebrations will officially begin on Saturday, October 10, with the traditional opening speech, while the main day will be Monday, October 12, the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, with the Flower Offering as one of the central events. The Fruit Offering and the Crystal Rosary will take place on Tuesday, October 13, and the festivities will conclude on Sunday, October 18.
A FIVE-DAY BREAK: THESE ARE THE NO-SCHOOL DAYS DURING THE 2026 FIESTAS DEL PILAR
The school calendar will provide students with a significant break coinciding with the start of the Fiestas del Pilar. Zaragoza students will have no classes on Monday, October 12, Tuesday, October 13, or Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The first will be a public holiday for Pillar Day and Spain's National Day, while October 13 and 14 have been designated as non-school days.
These three days will be combined with the weekend of Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, meaning students will enjoy five consecutive days without school, from Saturday, October 10, through Wednesday, October 14. Classes will resume on Thursday, October 15, and both that day and Friday, October 16, will be school days, even though Zaragoza will remain immersed in the festivities until Sunday.
