“Anticyclonic and stable weather” will prevail, and temperatures will reach higher-than-usual levels for this time of year. “Highs will reach between 32 and 35 degrees across much of the mainland. In addition, rainfall will be scarce throughout the territory,” the Aemet warns. The Meteored website also notes that this rise in temperatures will be caused by an “African ridge.”
After temperatures dropped by more than 10 degrees in Aragon within a matter of hours, the 30-degree mark will already be exceeded this weekend. In Zaragoza, highs will range between 31 and 33 degrees from Friday through Sunday, between 28 and 30 in Huesca, and between 31 and 32 in Teruel. Lows, however, will be much milder than in previous days, ranging from 14 to 16 degrees in Zaragoza, 12 to 16 in Huesca, and 8 to 11 in Teruel.
HIGHS OF UP TO 37 DEGREES
Next week will begin with rising temperatures. The peak will be recorded between Monday and Tuesday, reaching 35-37 degrees in Zaragoza, 33-35 in Huesca and 32-35 degrees in Teruel. Minimum temperatures will also rise, reaching 20 degrees again in Huesca and 19 in Zaragoza, while remaining between 11 and 12 in Teruel.
The week will continue with high values for this time of year, exceeding 30 degrees. For now, the Aemet has not set an end date for this return of the heat.
