Azcón calls for Caspe to have a main Guardia Civil station

Aragón President Jorge Azcón called on Sunday for Caspe’s Guardia Civil station to be upgraded from an “ordinary” to a “main” post and urged the Interior Ministry to add more officers.

"Caspe's population growth in recent years is an opportunity to boost the city, but it also requires stronger public security. That is why we are going to ask the Interior Ministry to listen to Caspe's requests to strengthen the Guardia Civil presence and allow the station to become a main post," he said during his speech at the ExpoCaspe Fair.

The head of the regional government said this was "a fair demand from Caspe, a demand that Mayor Ana Jarque is taking wherever people are willing to listen to it".

HEALTH CENTER RENOVATION

The president announced that "the next budget of the Government of Aragón, which we are going to present next week, includes 650,000 euros to begin expanding the health center". "Specifically, 150,000 euros will go toward the project, and half a million toward the start of the works, which will begin in the summer and last around 20 months".

In total, the project will represent an investment of around 3.5 million euros, meaning this initial budget allocation will be significantly increased in the coming years.

Azcón stressed that "the health center is not the only project of interest for Caspe included in the 2027 budget, as there will also be an allocation of 105,000 euros to promote the regional heliport". "In addition, we have included an allocation of 200,000 euros to begin converting the Adislaf day center into a residential facility providing 24-hour services," he added.

ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

Azcón referred to projects promoted by the Government of Aragón in the town and the region, including work on the A-221 and A-1411 roads, both included in the extraordinary road plan and already fully completed, as well as the major work on the A230, the road linking Caspe with Bujaraloz, "whose construction is already well advanced".
