And for those already making plans, there is news. Aragon's 2027 public holiday calendar is now official. The Government of Aragon approved this Wednesday the public holidays that will be observed next year in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. The dates of Aragon's 2027 public holidays are therefore now known, although the calendar still needs to be completed with the two local holidays assigned to each municipality.
THESE ARE ARAGON'S 12 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS IN 2027
The calendar approved by the regional government establishes 12 public holidays common to all workers in Aragon. These are the dates worth marking in red for next year:
Monday, November 1: All Saints' Day. Monday, December 6: Spanish Constitution Day. Wednesday, December 8: Immaculate Conception. Saturday, December 25: Christmas Day.
The distribution of the holidays already leaves some particularly attractive dates for those considering long weekends and extended breaks in 2027. Easter will allow four consecutive days off for those who do not work weekends, while St George's Day will fall on a Friday. There will also be three-day weekends thanks to the observance of the Assumption holiday on Monday, August 16, All Saints' Day on Monday, November 1, and Constitution Day on Monday, December 6.
These 12 days will later be joined by two local holidays, which will vary depending on the municipality. Aragonese town halls have until October 15, 2026, to submit their proposals, after which these holidays will be published in the Official Gazette of Aragon. This will complete the 2027 working calendar for each locality.
