During his address, the minister stressed that artificial intelligence represents an opportunity to transform and improve healthcare systems, particularly in areas such as diagnosis, process optimization, treatment personalization and the enhancement of quality of care.
"We are immersed in a technological revolution that is set to shape the future of our healthcare systems," said Ángel Sanz, who highlighted the importance of forums for reflection and debate such as this one to address innovation from a multidisciplinary perspective focused on citizens’ real needs.
He also conveyed the Aragón Government’s commitment to responsible digital transformation: “the Aragón Government is approaching this transformation with ambition and responsibility. We will continue promoting technological innovation in our healthcare system, but without abandoning the essence of that system: citizens’ trust, patient safety and the commitment of healthcare professionals.”
In his closing remarks, the health minister highlighted Aragón’s ability to lead innovation and technological adaptation processes, always placing people at the center of public policies, and encouraged continued collaboration between institutions and professionals to move toward a more efficient and secure healthcare model without losing its human dimension. "The future of healthcare will not be built solely with algorithms. It will be built with knowledge, talent, responsibility and a firm commitment to public service," he concluded.
The event, held at Zaragoza’s Patio de la Infanta, addressed issues related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, healthcare data privacy and the real-world applications of these technologies in clinical practice. The gathering featured leading specialists in healthcare innovation, data protection, automation and digital transformation.
