During his visit to the seminary residence in Teruel, the vice president of the Government of Aragon and the party’s regional leader praised the decision by the man who was mayor of Castellote for 22 years. He highlighted Millán’s “excellent willingness to share his political experience” and praised his decision to join Vox because he believes it is “the alternative to political parties and truly represents the future and hope.”
Nevertheless, the councillor for Deregulation rejected the idea that the recruitment was part of a strategy to attract well-known politicians in rural areas or that Millán’s role would be to recruit members for future municipal elections. “The process for drawing up candidate lists will be a collective one; in other words, it will not depend solely on him or on any other person in the party,” he said, clarifying that the matter is decided at national level and by the provincial management committees.
