The first step will come this Wednesday, November 5, with the publication of the bill in the Official Gazette of the Cortes of Aragon (BOCA), after the chamber's Bureau approved it for processing this Wednesday. Government members will then appear before the Committee on Finance, Budgets, the Interior and Public Administration on November 6, 9 and 10 to explain the budgets for their respective departments.
DEBATE ON NOVEMBER 12
The debate on the bill as a whole will take place during the plenary session on November 12. During the session, the Cortes will examine the bill in its entirety and debate any amendments rejecting the bill as a whole that may have been submitted by the parliamentary groups.
Once this stage has been completed, the period for submitting partial amendments will open and remain active from November 13 to December 3. During this period, the groups may propose changes to the budget bill for subsequent analysis and debate.
Once the deadline for submitting amendments has passed, the Bureau of the Committee on Finance, Budgets, the Interior and Public Administration will review and approve them for processing on December 10. The committee's working sessions will take place from December 11 to 17.
During this stage, the committee will examine the proposals submitted and prepare the corresponding report, which will serve as the basis for the subsequent debate in the Finance Committee. The report of the Committee on Finance, Budgets, the Interior and Public Administration is scheduled for December 18.
THE VOTE ON LOTTERY DAY
The final step will come on December 22, when the plenary session of the Cortes of Aragon debates and votes on the budget bill. The aim is to complete the entire parliamentary process before the end of the year. The Cortes of Aragon have also created a dedicated section on their website to follow the parliamentary process. This section includes the main milestones of the procedure, as well as communications, press releases and recordings related to its various stages.
