The candidacy represents continuity for a professional with extensive experience in communications and at CARTV itself. Fuertes took part in launching Aragón Radio’s regular broadcasts in October 2005 and later spent nearly a decade working in the news departments of Aragón TV, where she covered the activities of the Government of Aragón, parliamentary politics and various election campaigns, as well as numerous social events across the region. She also worked in front of the cameras at certain points in her career.
She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra and a master’s degree in Digital Business Transformation from ISDI. Fuertes began her career at Canal 31 in Calamocha and later worked for Antena Aragón, Antena 3 Aragón and TVE. Her professional background also includes several positions in communications offices, where she led teams and press consultancies. Among other roles, she was head of communications for the Department of the Presidency and Justice of the Government of Aragón and served as chief of staff.
Fuertes is also a civil servant who entered the public administration through competitive examination and is currently on leave. She has worked as a senior specialist in management and common services, in the journalism field, at the Government Delegation in Aragón. She combined that work with communications and marketing roles at Henneo and teaching as an associate professor at Universidad San Jorge. Her nomination as CARTV director general must now continue through the Aragon Parliament, as established by the Law on the Creation, Organization and Parliamentary Oversight of the Corporation.
