According to Nolasco, the Aragon government will continue “challenging” the decrees and individual proceedings. “We have won 17 court rulings, which found that these allocations are arbitrary,” Nolasco said, reiterating that the Spanish government does not send minors to Catalonia and the Basque Country because they “have political agreements with it to keep Pedro Sánchez in government.”
“Obviously, you already know that the government is forcing the autonomous communities, or regions, to take responsibility for some minors, but we will use every means available to try to prevent that from happening and to stop these minors from arriving,” the Aragon vice president said.
Along these lines, Nolasco criticized the central government’s actions, accusing it of approving decrees that, in his view, seek to force the autonomous communities to take responsibility for these minors. The Aragonese vice president described the measures as “extortion” and denounced their implementation under the threat of possible charges of disobedience or abuse of office. “It is an absolutely mafia-like and repugnant government,” he said, while accusing it of “playing with people’s lives.”
