Chunta Aragonesista, which is leading the lists in the three Aragonese provinces, decided to step back and not stand in Teruel after seeing that support was too limited to make winning a seat almost impossible, seeking to ensure that other parties could make the most of those few votes.
IU Aragón tried to resolve the predicament at the last minute, but the agreement left them no room for maneuver. The move is radically different for the Senate: there, they are joining forces with the PSOE in every single province, including Teruel.
For the rest, the party has had to perform a balancing act and adapt its name depending on the territory in order to form alliances with its local partners. In Aragon, it is joining forces with CHA, while in the Valencia region and the Balearic Islands it is teaming up with Compromís and Ara Més, also adding Podemos, which is likewise joining the alliance in the Canary Islands alongside Nueva Canarias. In Catalonia, its name merges with that of the Comuns, while in Andalusia it is running under the name Frente Amplio por Andalucía.
