The publication now opens a review period by the electoral administration, which will check whether the candidacies meet all legal requirements. If any irregularity is detected, representatives of the groups will have 48 hours to correct it. The definitive list of candidates will be published in the BOE on November 3.
One of the new features of this election is Senado de Progreso, a candidacy bringing together PSOE, CHA, IU and Movimiento Sumar to contest the Senate in all three Aragonese provinces. For the Congress, the Frente Amplio coalition brings together CHA, IU and Movimiento Sumar, although it will not field a list in Teruel, where Teruel Existe will stand. Podemos, meanwhile, will be present in all three constituencies and will contest both the Congress and the Senate.
The composition of the candidate lists creates a diverse scenario across the three provinces, with nationwide parties, Aragonese groups and other minority options. In addition, one of the outstanding issues concerns the Senate, where PP and Vox are negotiating a formula to counter the joint candidacy of the left-wing forces. These are the groups appearing on the provisional lists published in the BOE, in order of appearance.
