The amendment provides for the creation of eleven positions: an architect, a senior procurement officer, a systems analyst, a maintenance and prevention technician, three protocol officers, an audiovisual media officer, a driver and two ushers.
A COMMITMENT TO PRESERVING LA ALJAFERÍA
In relation to La Aljafería, the new structure adds an architect and a maintenance and prevention technician, as well as converting the existing maintenance technician position into a maintenance coordinator role. The reorganization also aims to increase the Parliament’s autonomy in areas such as information, its website and audiovisual coverage by strengthening its in-house capabilities.
The Parliament stresses that this is not simply an increase in the number of positions, but a reorganization. One systems technician and one IT officer will be phased out, while two administrative assistant positions will be eliminated. In addition, the existing journalist position will be converted from an employment contract to a civil service A1 post, without creating a new position.
A €27.8 MILLION BUDGET
The governing board of the Aragon Parliament has also definitively approved the institution’s budget for 2027, amounting to €27.8 million. The accounts are primarily aimed at promoting conservation and efforts to enhance the value of the Aljafería Palace, advancing the institution’s technological modernization and strengthening security and the services it provides to the public.
Planned measures include the strategic project “Living Aljafería: Promoting Our Legacy,” aimed at strengthening the Palace’s conservation, modernization and opening to the public. The budget also includes a commitment to the Parliament’s digital transformation, with particular attention to cybersecurity.
