"With less than two months to go before work begins, the club still has no alternative facility in which to carry out its sporting activities," the organization said. The situation would affect boys and girls from the age of six, Under-14 and Under-16 teams, and senior men’s and women’s squads. "If a solution is not found, they will have nowhere to play from January," the Zaragoza-based organization said.
The club said it has looked for alternatives at municipal and private facilities, but "all of them are at full capacity and none can accommodate a club with categories ranging from under-6s to senior level." In addition, on October 26 it formally requested a meeting with Zaragoza City Hall and the city’s Department of Sports, as well as with the Directorate-General for Sport of the Government of Aragon. Although it appreciates the regional government’s response and the meetings with the sports councilor, it regrets that "to date, no viable solution has been found."

A FIELD THREE AFTERNOONS A WEEK
The Zaragoza club has therefore specified its request: "We need a grass field, natural or artificial, three afternoons a week for around three hours and, if possible, availability for weekend matches, from January 2027 until our field reopens."
"We are not asking for privileges. We are asking for a temporary and specific solution while work continues on renovations the club did not cause," the statement stressed. It urged the city council to get urgently involved and also invited the Government of Aragon and the University of Zaragoza to join forces. "We extend our hand to all institutions. We are available to meet as early as tomorrow and work together on a solution," the organization said, emphasizing that "rugby in Zaragoza cannot be left without a home."
