The fair will offer three days of activities from November 6 to 8 in the Multi-Purpose Hall, with free admission for everyone. The aim is to bring cycling tourism closer both to those who already practise it and to those who want to discover it, using the activity to promote the region, boost tourism and showcase the attractions of the municipalities in the province.
PROGRAMME
The programme will begin on Friday, November 6, with a day aimed at industry professionals. Between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., a B2B business and networking event will be held, with prior registration, including various presentations and meetings. At 12:00 p.m., the official opening and inaugural talk will take place under the title "Zaragoza Province, an Endless Destination. Cycling Tourism that Builds the Region." The Pedal Spain Association will also be presented, an initiative designed to promote and market cycling tourism in Spain.
General public access will also open from 12:00 p.m. Visitors will be able to explore the exhibition area, where around 50 companies and tourist destinations will take part, and test bicycles on the circuit set up in Plaza Miguel Merino. The day will continue in the afternoon with round tables on the main challenges facing cycling tourism in southern Europe.
One of the main attractions of this edition will be gravel cycling, a discipline that is gaining more followers and combines trails, tracks and lightly trafficked roads. The fair will dedicate a special area to this phenomenon under the name "This is Very Gravel," showcasing different specialised projects and destinations. These include La Corraliza, CYCGravelLoop, La Manchuela Gravel, Camino del Quijote, La Ronda de los Pueblos, Riberia, Destino 41, Caravaca Gravel Spirit, Cadencia Zero and La Rioja con encanto.
On Saturday afternoon, the Gravel Sprint will also be held, an event in which different projects will present their proposals in a brief and dynamic format. Initiatives taking part will include Pedaleando por el Maestrazgo, Grava Fayonera, Cadencia Zero, La Corraliza and Destino 41.
On Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, the programme will also include various bike rides, such as the Social Gravel Ride, promoted by the Rare Femmes collective, and the Social Ride BTT, organised by Trek Zaragoza. These activities will be joined by talks on cycling trips and experiences, including a presentation by Germán Teca and Emilio Mateo entitled "Iceland: The Land of Fire and Ice by Bike."
The fair will also feature practical workshops for those who want to learn more about bicycle maintenance and preparation. Highlights include "Survival Mechanics for Cycle Touring," taught by La Pedalera, and a biomechanics laboratory led by Aero Cycling Project, the Universidad San Jorge and the Unloc group. There will also be children's activities and a cycling treasure hunt to introduce the youngest participants to this world.
