If you want to complete your outfit while supporting a good cause, mark September 13 on your calendar: the Burguitos animal shelter will have a stand at the Centro Cívico Estación del Norte. It is a great opportunity to find that special accessory while supporting a worthy cause.
Burguitos rescues and shelters abandoned dogs and cats with the aim of giving them a second chance. The project was launched just a year ago, although its volunteers had already been helping and rescuing animals independently for much longer.
TRADITIONAL OUTFIT CLOTHING FOR A GOOD CAUSE
“I have danced the jota all my life, so what we are going to organize is a charity market,” says Cristina, one of Burguitos’ volunteers. To that end, they will collect traditional clothing and accessories, hoping to raise funds to cover the association’s many expenses, from veterinary care to the implementation of the CER method (capture, sterilization and return), among other needs.
They will be at the Centro Cívico de la estación del Norte, at number 7 Calle Perdiguera, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The venue can also be reached by several bus routes, including 35, 36, 39 and circular routes 1 and 2.
EVERY PURCHASE HELPS SAVE LIVES
The money they raise allows them to continue saving lives and helping the animals available for adoption.
Among them is Greta, a mastiff rescued a year ago from a landfill alongside another dog that has already found a family. Greta, however, is still waiting for her chance. Just two years old and weighing 30 kilos of pure love, Greta is sterilized, gets along with cats, is very sociable with other dogs and knows how to stay home alone.
But Greta is not the only one looking for a family. The shelter also has cats waiting for a home, from kittens to adults and in every color, each with its own story and the same desire to find a second chance.
