The "Aragón, Land of Culture" program is an initiative launched by the Directorates-General for Culture and Cultural Heritage and Tourism of the Government of Aragón. Its main aim is to bring culture, in the broadest sense, to every corner of the region, offering unique artistic experiences in emblematic settings throughout the community.
As part of this project, and following the success of the recitals held last year by the Teatro Real Carriage in Boltaña, Calatayud, Caspe and San Juan de la Peña, Santa Ana Square in Utebo will host the next recital this Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
The performers will be Carlos Alfonso Ferri (piano), María Ruiz (soprano), Yeraldín León (mezzo-soprano), Pablo Puértolas (tenor) and Alonso Gabarrús (baritone), who will perform works by Rachmaninoff, Puccini, Camille Saint-Saëns, Bellini, Donizetti, Mozart, Bizet, Jacques Offenbach, Pablo Sorozábal, Gerónimo Giménez and Manuel Nieto.
In Monzón, the performance will take place on Sunday, September 13, at the José Antonio Labordeta Amphitheater at 8:30 p.m. Once again, Carlos Alfonso Ferri (piano), María Ruiz (soprano), Yeraldín León (mezzo-soprano), Pablo Puértolas (tenor) and Alonso Gabarrús (baritone) will perform compositions by Rachmaninoff, Puccini, Camille Saint-Saëns, Bellini, Donizetti, Mozart, Bizet, Jacques Offenbach, Pablo Sorozábal, Gerónimo Giménez and Manuel Nieto.
THE TEATRO REAL CARRIAGE
As Spain's leading national opera house and within the framework of its "Close to You" project, the Teatro Real presents the Teatro Real Carriage, its traveling stage for bringing artistic programs—including instrumental concerts, opera and zarzuela recitals, and children's performances—to locations throughout Spain. The project is managed by the Friends of the Teatro Real Foundation.
Its structure was originally created for Madrid's Three Kings parade, in which the Teatro Real has participated every year since 2018. The Teatro Real carriage is 16 meters long, 5.80 meters high and weighs nearly five and a half tons.
