These are the times to avoid if attending the Flower Offering independently: route and what to know

People who want to take part in Zaragoza’s Flower Offering independently on October 12 will not need to register in advance, but they should bear in mind a recommendation from Zaragoza City Council: avoid, as far as possible, the period between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is when the largest number of participants is expected, and it also coincides with the institutional events, meaning it is the time when the longest waits and largest crowds are likely to occur.

Individual participation will be open this year from 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Access will follow a new route along San Jorge, San Vicente de Paúl and Arcedianos streets before reaching Plaza del Pilar. The organizers aim to better manage the flow of people attending independently and prevent them from sharing the same entry points with groups.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO ATTEND THE FLOWER OFFERING INDEPENDENTLY?

Zaragoza City Council is encouraging people to spread their participation throughout the day and avoid the usual concentration of people before lunch. This peak in attendance, officials explain, is one of the factors that can cause delays in the Flower Offering. The recommendation is particularly important in an edition that aims to complete the entire procession on October 12 rather than have it continue into midnight the following day.

There will also be specific recommended times for those who wish to attend with their pets. In this case, people are advised to take part in the Flower Offering between 6:45 and 9:00 a.m. or in the evening, between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.
