Three Films and Nearly 11 Hours at the Cinema: Palafox Schedules a New IMAX Marathon

More than 10 hours on Arrakis, three films back to back and one of the most ambitious science-fiction sagas of recent years in IMAX. Palafox cinemas will hold a special Dune marathon on December 17, allowing audiences to watch all three films directed by Denis Villeneuve in one sitting. The event will include Dune: Part One, released in 2021; Dune: Part Two, from 2024; and the new Dune: Part Three, which will conclude Villeneuve's trilogy. The marathon is scheduled to last 640 minutes in total, or about 10 hours and 40 minutes, including the films and the breaks planned throughout the day.

The first film will begin at 4:00 p.m. and, once it ends, there will be a 15-minute break before the second installment begins. After the first two films, a longer break is scheduled from 10:15 p.m., during which viewers will be able to leave the cinema and return.

The final section of the marathon will begin practically at midnight. Dune: Part Three will start at 11:59 p.m., turning the event into a long day for those who want to follow Paul Atreides' story continuously, from his arrival on Arrakis to the consequences of his rise to power. Starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, the Dune saga adapts Frank Herbert's novels and follows the story of Paul Atreides, heir to a powerful family who arrives on the desert planet Arrakis, the setting for a political, religious and military struggle over control of spice, the most valuable resource in the universe.

THE FIRST TWO FILMS WILL ALSO RETURN TO CINEMAS

Those who do not want to take on the full marathon will also have another opportunity to catch up on the earlier films. From December 11 to 13, Cines Palafox will screen Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two separately and in IMAX.

The marathon will also take place just a few days before the general release of Dune: Part Three, scheduled for December 18, allowing those attending the special event to connect the first two installments with the new film before its conventional release in cinemas.

TICKETS FROM 40 EUROS

Tickets for the December 17 marathon are already available. The Promo Web rate costs 40 euros, while the Megaentrada option is priced at 42.90 euros.

In the latter case, attendees will receive three Megaentradas, one for each film and per person. Cines Palafox also recommends arriving early given the length and special organization of the event.
