The exhibition brings together 23 floats and processional images from Zaragoza’s Holy Week, including the Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, the Kiss of Judas, Jesus Nazarene, Our Lady of Sorrows and the Christ of the Bed. After taking part in the extraordinary procession held for the National Gathering of Young Members of Religious Brotherhoods and Fraternities just a few weeks ago, several of these images returned to the church, and some were displayed outside their carriages, allowing visitors to view them from an unusual perspective.
But "Ad Salvatorem" goes beyond processional floats. It also brings together sculptures dating from the 15th century to the present day, goldsmithing pieces, historic documents, brotherhood scripts and banners. Among the most unique objects are a burned cincture from the Brotherhood of Jesus on the Way to Calvary, remains of images recovered after the collapse of the Solano garage in 1981, the Holy Thorn and the Lignum Crucis.
