It will take place in Plaza del Pilar on October 14 at 8:00 p.m., when the Carlos Cruz-Díez Symphony Orchestra will take the stage at the Ambar Fuente de Goya venue under the direction of Manuel Jurado.
"We are very excited that Venezuela will be the guest country at the Pilar Festival. We will perform a Spanish American repertoire called 'Symphonic Roots'," the orchestra's director, Manuel Jurado, said in a video posted on social media.
The symphony orchestra was formed in 2019, starting with around 25 musicians and growing to more than 70 members of different nationalities, with a particularly Ibero-American profile. Its repertoire combines major works of classical music with Spanish and Latin American music. In recent programs, it has performed compositions by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Granados and Rimsky-Korsakov, among others.
It has also gained a growing presence in Spanish cultural programs. In June 2026, it was chosen to perform at the diocesan gathering held at the Santiago Bernabéu with Pope Leo XIV, and it was a finalist on Got Talent Spain in 2023.
