The concert will take place on Sunday, October 11, at 10:00 p.m. in the Jardín de Invierno, where they will share the bill with Aragonese band Isla Kume, which will open the night at 9:00 p.m. The concert also arrives in a particularly symbolic year for Aterciopelados, who are celebrating three decades of La Pipa de la Paz, one of the landmark albums of their career.
Aterciopelados were formed in Bogotá in the early 1990s and went on to become one of the major reference points of Spanish-language rock. Songs such as Bolero Falaz, Florecita Rockera, Baracunatana, Maligno, El Estuche and Cosita Seria helped shape a distinctive identity blending guitars, punk, Latin American rhythms and traditional sounds.
But the band is not relying solely on those classics. In 2025, they released Genes Rebeldes, an album that once again showed they remain fully active and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album. Their career also includes four Latin Grammys and collaborations with artists such as Enrique Bunbury, Julieta Venegas, Carlos Vives, Rubén Albarrán and Bomba Estéreo.
The visit to Zaragoza will offer the chance to reconnect with a band that has crossed generations without losing its identity. Aterciopelados will arrive at the Pilar Festival celebrating one of their most emblematic albums, with recent material and more than 30 years of songs behind them.
